Custom app — built by Essentials

Bring the refill to them.

Refill is a custom app we built for a friend who runs a mobile refill wagon — hauling bulk soaps and household goods to farmers markets so people can bring their own containers. This is what custom development from Essentials looks like.

The problem

No one builds software for people like this

Our friend drives a trailer full of bulk soaps, detergents, and household goods to farmers markets and neighborhoods. Customers bring their own containers. She's literally reducing waste one refill at a time.

But there's no software for that. She was posting schedules on Instagram, tracking inventory in her head, and texting customers her location. So we built her an app. This is what it does.

What you get

Simple tools. Less overhead. More refills.

Everything you actually need, nothing you don't.

Live location

Share your GPS position so customers can find you right now. Your public page shows exactly where you are, live.

Schedule your stops

Plan your route ahead of time. Customers see your upcoming stops on a map so they know when you're coming to their area.

Track inventory

Know what you have and what's running low. Simple stock levels with alerts — no spreadsheets, no guessing.

Mobile-first

Update your location and inventory from your phone while you're on the road. Because that's where you are.

Product catalog

Show customers what you carry with categories, descriptions, and pricing. They can browse before you arrive.

Your own page

A clean public page for your wagon with your schedule, products, location, and contact info. Share one link, done.

Getting started

Set up in 10 minutes, then go do your thing

1

Create your wagon

Name it, describe what you carry, add your contact info. Five minutes.

2

Add your products

List what you sell, set prices, organize by category. Customers can browse before you arrive.

3

Share your link

Your public page is live. One link with your schedule, products, and live location. That's it.

Why we built this

Because she genuinely cares, and so do we

Refill wagons are one of those beautifully simple ideas. Load up a trailer with bulk household goods — soaps, detergents, shampoos, cleaning products — drive to where people are. They bring their own containers. You fill them up. Less packaging goes to landfill. Everyone wins.

The people who do this aren't in it for the money. They're in it because they actually care about reducing externalities. They want to use less, do less harm, and help their neighbors do the same. These are the kind of people we want to build for.

Refill was our first fully custom app commission. We built it with the same care we put into everything — GPS tracking, a public page customers can actually find, inventory that doesn't live in a spreadsheet. It's a real app for a real person doing real good.

This is what it looks like when we build something for someone we care about. Imagine what we could build for you.

Need something custom?

Refill is one example of what we build. If you have an idea for your business — something that doesn't exist yet, or something that exists but costs too much — we'd love to talk about it.

Built by people who think single-use plastic is absurd.
